HRH The Duke of York visits CSE Global (UK)

In his capacity as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, His Royal Highness The Duke of York KG visited North East Derbyshire’s CSE-Global (UK) last Friday, 9 April 2010.

His Royal Highness, accompanied by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire Mr William Tucker, was given a tour of the Group’s headquarters and heard about the history of the Company which has been based in Eckington for 30 years and currently employs over 400 people, making it one of the largest businesses in the region.

During the visit, His Royal Highness was told by Alan Stubbs, Managing Director of CSE Global (UK) and members of the senior management team how CSE has grown from a small local engineering company into the highly successful international organisation that it has become today.

Alan Stubbs, Managing Director of the CSE Global (UK) group of companies, said: “It is a fantastic honour to all at CSE to have a member of the Royal Family show such positive interest in our business. We were delighted to host the visit and thoroughly enjoyed meeting with HRH The Duke of York.

It meant a lot to all of us in the Sheffield Office, that His Royal Highness took time out of his busy schedule to find out more about our business.”

CSE Global (UK), formally known as the CSE Servelec Group, is an IT solutions provider that has operated globally for over 30 years. CSE has extensive experience in providing turnkey solutions for a wide range of clients using the latest, cutting edge technology.  Clients include BP, Met Office and the NHS.

During the visit, HRH The Duke of York KG was keen to hear about and offered support for planned investments in the business both in the UK and overseas that will deliver further significant growth in 2010/2011. To acknowledge his visit HRH The Duke of York unveiled a plaque to commemorate and act as a reminder of a very successful and welcome visit.

Presentations were made by Sue Hawkswell – Managing Director of CSE Healthcare Systems, Neil Butler – Managing Director of CSE Servelec and Steve Taylor Director of CSE Controls.
