Announcing “Acumen for RiO” Business Intelligence Platform

Apira and CSE Healthcare Systems have agreed to work in partnership to build a Business Intelligence Platform for PCT and Mental Health trusts using RiO.  This development is in recognition of the critical importance of utilising the information within RiO to assist trusts in:

• complying with all necessary regulatory requirements and achieving national targets
• improving the quality of care for patients and service users
• maximising the income received from, and improving the efficiency of, care services provided
• including Service Line Reporting and Payment by Results capabilities

The partnership will base its work on exploiting Microsoft technologies freely available to the NHS via Enterprise Wide Agreements.   It will also aim to meet the pressing need for solutions now with a focus on:

• accessing CSEs expertise in the RiO product to ensure, for example, that the reporting solution is always aligned with the deployed RiO version
• utilising Apira’s extensive expertise gained from a large number of RiO deployments in Mental Health and PCT environments and in Information Management
• technical resources from both CSE and Apira to work with trusts to achieve deployment within required timescales
